Booker T returns to WWE SmackDown
The six-time World Heavy Weight Champion Booker T has returned to World Wrestling Entertainment. He made a stunning appearance at the WWE Royal Rumble 2011 pay-per-view as Nexus were in full control of the ring. He managed to beat each and every member of
the Nexus but was eliminated by Mason Ryan, the newest Nexus member. Booker T made his second spectacular appearance at the start of the WWE SmackDown show, returning after three years. Now he is officially assigned as the newest colour commentator, replacing
Matt Striker of SmackDown. Now the members of SmackDown announce team are Michael Cole, Booker T and Josh Mathews. It will be interesting to see how Booker T will manage his return to the WWE.
Booker T is the most prominent wrestling superstar who has won a number of events from WWE and Total Non Stop Action Wrestling. He has been the tremendous superstar during his career. The older fans always remember Booker T as a tough wrestler who was able
to make an impact throughout the many different tournaments that he competed in.
Booker T has won World Championship Wrestling Heavy Weight Championship five times and the World Heavy Weight Championship once. Apart from this, he is also the winner of the Inter-Continental Championship once, United States Championship three times, Hardcore
Championship two times and the World Tag Team Championship four times. He won the King of the Ring Tournament on SmackDown by defeating Bobby Lashley, where he changed his ring name from Booker T to King Booker.
Booker T has taken on some of the biggest superstars of wrestling, many of which are now entering the latter stages of their wrestling careers. Many fans still remember Booker T as Black Snow, Booker, G.I.Bro, Kole, King Booker as his ring names.
He remained absent from the WWE for three years and has now returned to SmackDown as commentator. He was interviewed by announcer Joey Styles and was asked about the response of the WWE Universe on his return to Royal Rumble, Booker T said, “The response
I got was, in a word, overwhelming. People were just happy to see me back and that make me feel so good.”
It will be exciting to see how Booker T manages to work with some of the younger wrestlers that have taken over the ring since he has been gone. His main challenge will be to entertain a new generation of fans that are now more interested in the newer wrestlers.
His reputation as a hard working wrestler has earned him the respect of many senior wrestlers over the years. His fans will be happy to see him back in the WWE, even if he is not currently wrestling and just being a commentator.
