Question:

Booking for activities in Rotorua?

Is it more advisable to book for the Maori cultural experience, Luge and activities in the Agrodome online, than to do so when I am in Rotorua itself? Is it possible that there will be too many bookings such that I can't get a place? I will be in Rotorua from 16 to 19 April and I'm not sure if the attractions will be packed on these dates. Thanks! =)

  1. Booking on line will assure you of a seat ........but I think waiting until you are there will cost you less ( as is the case with most things ) ........... I don't think you you should worry too much unless you have a plan to go on one particular day.

  2. In general, NO, you won't have to book in advance.

Choose from the various activities available to you once you get there as some are dependant on weather.

However, the Maori Cultural Experiences (there's about 6 to choose from) can get to be fully booked sometimes, so perhaps it may pay to book for one of these in advance.

Your accommodation receptionist will handle all your bookings for you , and she (or he) will do it with a smile.

  3. Your out of any vacation seasons, so a pre-booking should not be neccesary. Also when you book in Rotorua, you can arrange a pick up straight away from your hotel/motel/hostel or where ever.

The Maori sxperience form the Mitai family is really nice and offers a really traditional hangi.

There is a lot to do in Rotorua, so have fun there!

  4. No I think that you don't need to book unless you felt like it! :)
