I'm booking a break in Cyprus on-line through Thomas Cook.

I'm presuming we will still have the services of a Rep to meet us at the airport etc and to whinge to as per if you booked through a travel agents.Does anyone know for sure?

  1. In general I would say yes you should have no problem, BUT, one can never be to sure. I went to Spain a few years ago and was supposed to have an agent meet us at the airport..no one was there..since then I am sure to read EVERYTHING in the travel document.

It also never hurts to send an email to confirm your fears.

Have a great trip..you'll be missed!!

  4. Hello Misty-have not been abroaad for years but hope to go to Ireland this year lol-just ask when booking and hope you enjoy the sunshine!

  5. Hi Misty, booking on-line is the same as booking through a travel agent, I have switched from agents to on-line for the last 2 holidays (Greece and Portugal) - it's just a different way of booking the same thing (and usually a bit cheaper booking on-line).

Have a great time, but I would advise that if you haven't been to that particular resort or hotel in Cyprus before to check out the reviews on the tripadvisor website - I always do now as brochures are usually biased.

    Enjoy.

  6. You can do that if you want, but the packager and the rep come at a cost.  If you book your accommodation direct with the hotel, and book your flight direct with the airline, it's much cheaper.  Then if you don't like the hotel, you can leave and stay somewhere else and you can choose the flight you want without having to get up at 4 in the morning.

When you get to your destination, you can whinge to the brick wall.  It will do you just as much good.

  7. Yes you still get all of that. So please do not worry.

    Have a great time.

  8. Can't go wrong with Thomas Cook and Cyprus as said before is great.... Enjoy!
