Question:

Bookit.Com All Inclusive?

Has anyone ever booked a vacation package from BookIt.Com?

The prices seem to be too good to be true and I'm just wondering if there's some kind of scam. Also I REALLY want to know if the package includes All Inclusive because it says Flight + Hotel but I don't know if it's only the hotel room. I want it to be all inclusive but I don't see them writing it anywhere.

Please answer these questions for me especially if you have already used Bookit.Com. I'm interested in going to Me Cancun in Cancun, Mexico in August.

  1. I booked an all inclusive to Cancun using Bookit.com.  I found that they had the best prices, not to mention that they have the best web site for searching.  We had absoutely no problems with bookit.com. When you search for flight/hotel, it will bring up all hotels in Cancun that Bookit has a contract with.  It will list on the hotel page if it is all inclusive or not.  We stayed at the Sun Palace, which is AWESOME!  I have read so bad reviews about bookit but also some great ones, I think the most important thing to remember when booking vacation on line is that NO company is perfect and there will be some mistakes with anyone of them.  Bookit allows you to part a down payment and then the rest so long before  you travel dates, which is very unique in vacation booking sites.  When I booked our trip, I searched the web site and wrote down every detail, hotel, dates, flight numbers etc. and I called the 800 number and booked with a bookit.com agent.  I purchased a prepaid credit card from my bank, ( i think it cost $7.00 ) and used that card to book our travel.  We live credit card free and I do not feel comfortable using my checking account debit card for things like this because who ever has that number, has access to my checking account! So I booked with the pre-paid card and had not issues.  The customer service agent who booked our trip was very helpful, and even found me a return flight that departed Cancun later in the afternoon with no extra charge.  Keep in mind that ALL resorts will ask for a credit card once you arrive to cover any incidental charges. We put extra $$$$ on the pre-paid card and that is the card we presented at the hotel.  I purchased all of our suvioners at the Sun Palace ( they are cheaper in the hotel gift shops than at the Cancun Markets )and charged them to the room as well as our excursion.  I did not book our transfers from the airport and back thru bookit.  I booked thru Best Day Tours.  It was alot cheaper and they had a Best Day Tours representative in our hotel for our entire stay.  When we wanted to book an excursion, we went to the Best Day Tours desk, booked our excursion and charged it to the room.  This prevented the need to travel with alot of extra cash.  Upon check-out, we were presented with a list of our room charges, we verifited that it was correct, and we did not have to worry about our debit card number staying in Mexico after we left.  I had a pretty good idea of what we would be spending while we were there so I put that amount plus $100.00 on the pre-paid card.  I think when we left, we had about $30.00 left it.  We are returning to Cancun with our children in June and I will be booking with Bookit.com.  Sorry I have rambled on, but I hope it helps.  Enjoy your trip.

  2. I have used bookit.com twice. I have used it in 2008 and 2009. I have not had any problems with the travel service. The prices were very reasonable. The agents were very helpful.

  3. Bookit.com's customer service agents gave me wrong information about the pricing because they are SO MISLEADING with how they advertise their prices. When I tried to get them to do something about it, I was put off for several months leading up to my trip. Right before we were ready to leave, one of the managers told me that they would comp one of my tours to make up for the inconvienence and wrong information I had been provided and then never followed through with that.
