Bookkeeper questions... ?

I RUN A BUSINESS AND I PAY MY BOOKKEEPR $80 BUT HE WONT ORGANIZE ANYTHING FOR ME SO I HAVE TO DO IT BECAUSE HE CLAIMS THAT BOOKKEEPERS DONT ORGANIZE PAPERS..

SO I HAVE TO ORGANIZE ALL THE SALES RECIEPTS MYSELF..SO ALL HE BASICALLY DOES IS JUST PUT ALL THE SALES ON THE COMPUTER THEN HE PRINTS OUT A COPY OF MY MONTHLY SALES...OH YEA AND HE TELLS ME HOW MUCH TAXES I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MONTH..IS THAT REALLY TRUE...I REALLY DONT HAVE THE TIME TO ORGANIZE ALL THE RECIEPTS BECAUSE IM ALWAYS BUSY...SHOULD I GET A NEW BOOKKEEPER???

even if you have a great bookkeeper, get a new one if you don't trust or feel comfortable with the one you have.  I use quickbooks pro and just photocopy all my receipts and stick them in a binder.  My bookkeeper just does my quarterly tax filings.  You want a bookkeeper that gives you advice as well, ways to cut taxes, etc.

I do bookkeeping and I bend over backwards to make sure my clients feel comfortable and understand exactly what I am doing.  Your bookkeeper is either really lazy or doesn't know what he/she doing.

I'm a bookkeeper, and yeah, that's pretty insulting.  It's like asking a surgeon to pull a splinter for you.  Good luck finding another one.
