Bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox gone (alot done since then)?

Question

My computer crash today and when I restarted, all of my bookmarks were gone. Someone told me that updating to version 3 would bring them all back, but they were still gone. I tried to look for the backup bookmark file but it wasn't there. I tried restoring my computer, but Firefox was corrupt. I undid the restore and reinstalled version 3. Is it still possible to retrieve the lost bookmarks?

First check your hard drive for corruption go to the run command and type chkdsk /R choose yes to have it run on restart and restart the computer. If that worked you are done; if not find an undeleter and see what it can find. Otherwise you are sol
