Question:

Books about teenage girls?

My psychologist recommended that I read books about teenage girls and study the way they speak, so I could learn how to socialize with people my own age. So, are there any ones you'd reccommend?

I need ones with stupid shallow teenage girls like Gossip Girls and stuff. I need it to keep my attention though.

God, I really feel like I'm degrading myself. Anyway, thanks.

  1. my cousin reads miley cyrus books????????????(just an idea!) :-)

  2. gossip girl series=shallow

    the clique series= shallow

    meg cabot books=normal

    twilight=normal+vampires

  3. Try the Clique series. All the girls in those books are stupid, except for Claire, but these books could teach you the "foreign language" of teenage girls.

  4. the princess diares series

    and the "clique" series

    are both pretty good

    (and full of shallowness)

  5. Sarah Dessen (not very shallow; kind of cliche teenage girl, though); Meg Cabot (has already been recommended, the Princess Diaries were actually good up till the fourth book and they're nothing like the movie. Her Mediator series was pretty good, too, and also 1-800-Where-R-You); Sloppy First (a book about a teenage girl; it's actually an excellent book, though. The main character isn't shallow but it has a lot of characters who are).

    I usually read a stupid book to turn off my brain for a few hours after a few marathon reading sessions of genuinely good books. As a fourteen year old oddball whose been trying and failing at that "relate to my peers through pop culture!" thing for years, I know my stuff. It probably won't work, though.
