Books to travel with?

Hi everyone!

I'm backpacking through India for three months in the fall. I want to bring books that are small and compact, but I don't know what to get! I went to borders looking for the Collector's Library books, but I guess they discontinued it. Any ideas? I'm not too picky about books...

  1. A wonderful small book I read was Tree Girl, by T. A. Barron. It sort of seems like a kids' book, but it's not really, even though I'm a kid who enjoyed it and it's in the younger section of book stores; it's more of a parent book. Not that you have to be a parent to love it, obviously, since I did. It's just sort of about parents.

  2. If you like crime/thrillers, why not try some Michael Connelly. He writes great crime novels and a few of them are small and compact.

    OR

Try 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell. They're both amazing pieces of writing, true genius.

Enjoy your trip and the books!!!   :)
