Question:

Bookshelves for a corner?

by  |  earlier

I have two walls in my living room that I would like to put book shelves on. Does anyone have any ideas for how to handle the bookshelves meeting at the corner? If you have pictures that you can show me that would be really appreciated. I'd rather use store-bought products rather than make the shelves myself. Thanks.

  1. There are bookcases out there that have corner shelves, if that's something you might want. I'd have to see your room to give a good opinion on regular bookshelves because you can usually rearrange to avoid awkward placement, depending on the size of your room. If you're near an IKEA, look for their Billy bookcases. I've added a link to show you an idea of what I'm talking about.

If that doesn't appeal, you might think about installing shelves on the wall, assuming you aren't renting.

  2. if your bookcase is shaped like this one or smaller you can add a corner on both sides if you like to make it uniform I will try to find another picture to give you a better idea.

    here is the first one

You could also you a narrow corner piece and flank it with two regular book cases.
