  1. One time I went on a cruise. As we were floating towards our island destination, we came across what we at first thought was a dolphin, but no... as my mom pointed out "it's a dead body!!". Some poor shmuck wearing nothing but black speedos got drunk, fell in the water and drowned.

Drinking around water is not safe! Don't do it, or at least do it in moderation!

Plus, any cruise worth it's salt will have plenty on booze on board.

  2. You could try, but it is not advisable.  It will be confiscated if it is found.  And a large number of the people who "fall" off cruise ships have done this, and to excess.  The only item that is allowed is one or two bottles of champagne, and if you take it to the dining room, they may charge you an uncorking fee.

  3. Not on Carnival anymore, they have a strict no drinks ban. If you do not buy it on board it is not coming on board. If you buy something in ports they will hold it for you until you get off the last day.

  4. not if you go to another country

  5. h**l yeah, but why would you? usually you get all you can drink..unless it's a few bottles of good wine, which will never be an issue.

be weary of bringing ganga back, that's what you should be asking, and my answer, probably not.

  6. I just recently went on a cruise.  You can only bring booze aboard  under special circumstances and that must be handled through the cruise line prior to your departure.

  7. Carnival's policy is that you can not consume alcohol onboard that you did not purchase onboard.  They will hold alcohol you bring with you or purchase during a port call and you can pick it up when you disembark at the end of your cruise.

It's a little different with wine, they may allow you to bring wine onboard however you will be charged a corkage fee, in addition you'll only have access to it during dinner.

Folks have been known to smuggle alcohol onboard.  Do so at your own risk.  Getting caught can result in the alcohol being confiscated or you being denied bording....

  8. I was just carnival destiny this past feb and we bought booze right at the port and put in our carry on bags and had no problem getting them in... I left my left over coconut rum for the room steward at the end of the cruise....
