Question:

Borax Insecticide Spray?

Does anyone know a mixture of 20 Mule Team Borax and water that will make an effective pesticide? I've read in several places that you can use it to control pests as a powder, but I would like to be able to spray it (i.e. from a spray bottle). If it can't be done, that's fine - just curious.

  1. Not sure it would work as a liquid. Borax works by being picked up on the legs of roaches and it gets into their joints and makes it too painfull for them to move. The delivery is by placing the borax in areas they will crawl through. It is best spread in a thin layer, using a small bulb like dispenser (kind of like a turkey baster with a much smaller tube section).

  2. Hi,

I was just thinking that maybe you should try it in a small area of you home and let us know how it worked for you.  Sometimes life is the best teacher and then you too can be the teacher as well.
