The 52-year-old is upbeat about his side’s chances of getting all three points on Saturday and is glad that Lille are without Eden Hazard this season, who left the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer.
The former Lens coach stated that things would be different this time and Bordeaux are in good shape to face the 2010/2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. Referring to the previous encounter between the two sides last season, Gillot said that his side will play more
attacking football this time around as the visitors do not have Eden Hazard in the team.
The coach added that both team have the ability to win that game and there isn’t much difference between the two sides this season.
"It won't be the same," he said. ”We won't play with five at the back. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 won't be there, it will be a tight game and there won't be much difference between the two sides."
Despite Lille’s woeful form this season that has seen them slipped to 10th place in the league with just 10 points on the table, Gillot believes that Les Dogues are still one of the best sides in the league and writing them off would be a mistake.
The 52-year-old said that Lille are trying to set their season on track and they will make life hard for Bordeaux on Saturday.
"Lille are going to be there or thereabouts and shouldn't be written off too quickly, far from that. They're trying to bed in two or three new players who need time to adapt to their system.”
Gillot added that Lille are not the same team as they were in the previous seasons, but admitted that Les Dogues can still cause his side all kinds of trouble and Bordeaux need to be at their best in order to get a positive result.
“They're a strong side, maybe with a little less creative inspiration or madness than last season. We'll have to be at our best to beat them."
