Slow start to the season by the potential title contenders Paris-Saint Germain will not affect their rival’s game play when the two take on each other at Parc des Princes this Sunday
According to the president of Girondins de Bordeaux, Jean-Louis Triaud, the southern club will be relishing the task to face the two-time Trophees des Champions winners and will be up to the challenge in as emphatic manner as they could.
Bordeaux will be ahead in points compared to Paris-Saint Germain when the two sides face each other at 1900 GMT at the Parc. Ancelotti’s men have made a slow start to the season as the team could only manage two draws in the opening two games of the Championnat.
Last weekend’s fixture saw Ajaccio earning a 0-0 draw against PSG, while Lorient was on the brink of a shock win against Les Parisiens on the opening day of the Championnat. It was only after an intense fight-back lead by Zlatan Ibrahimovic that the club
managed salvage a 2-2 draw.
But, according to Triaud, the slow start to the season by the potential champions of the 2012/2013 campaign will lead to the disgruntled team retaliating and the backlash could well have to be faced by Bordeaux this weekend.
Triaud said, "Lorient and Ajaccio have not made things easy for us because at some point Paris will be willing to react”. And the president of the southern French club believes, "I cannot imagine that Paris will not be crowned champions at the end of the
season”.
Triaud is optimistic that his side will continue with the momentum, as Les Girondins earned back to back wins in their opening two encounters. But he has nothing to worry about as the money spent by PSG has brought players to the team, making the title contenders
unmatchable in Ligue 1.
“We will travel to Paris very relaxed. We have nothing to lose and we will take our chance with the only goal to leave without any regrets,” Triaud said.
The good news for Bordeaux will be the unavailability of PSG’s hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who faces the sidelines due to a sore right foot.  It was only after the Swede’s heroics that PSG managed to salvage a 2-2 draw after being two goals down at half-time.
