Border fees for buying a standmixer?

okay so im in the states and i want to buy a stand mixer. im wondering how much it will cost me to get it over the canadian border to bring it home to canada?

Not much.  Last time I was there for the day to go grocery shopping, I ended up at Big Lots and bought a ton of stuff.  Total  of my bill was $400.  At the border I had to pay the duty which was $14.00.  I'm not good at math, but $14.00 for $400 worth of stuff seemed cheap to me, since I probably saved at least $100 by buying my stuff there and not in Canada..
