Gearbox has announced the two special editions for Borderlands two; the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collection and The Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition, both come loaded with goodies.
Developed by 2K Games, the original Borderlands proved to be a hit with its unique art-style and open world gameplay, mixed in with a number of RPG elements. In fact, the game went on to receive a number of awards for its fresh take on what was a stagnating
genre.
The original was such a success that the game’s developers and publisher are back with a sequel which gamers can expect to see on shelves in September. To be more specific gamers in the US will be able to buy the game on the 18th of September,
while those in the United Kingdom will have to wait until the 21st of September before they can jump back in the world of Borderlands.
However, for gamers who want more than just a copy of the game there are two choices to choose from. The first one is the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition. Priced at £64.99 across all major platforms (the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360) the edition
comes with “a copy of Borderlands 2; authentic Marcus Kincaid bobblehead ; Inside the Vault: The Art & Design of Borderlands 2 hardbound book; collectable sticker set; map of Pandora; digital comic download code; and bonus downloadable in-game digital content.”
However, if gamers have a bit more money to spend then they could invest in The Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition, which comes with a whole range of goodies. The edition “includes all of those items, plus a collectable scaled replica of the red loot chests
found throughout Pandora in Borderlands 2; steelbook case; Creatures of Pandora wide-format ID chart; lithograph postcard set; field notes from Sir Hammerlock; cloth map of Pandora; and a numbered certificate of authenticity.”
However, gamers looking to invest in The Ultimate Loot Chest Edition will have to invest a considerable amount as it is set to cost £99.99 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions while gamers can get the PC edition for £74.99.
