  1. I live in Texas. I have seen prices anywhere from $250 to $500 for boarding your horses. Of course, full livery, or keeping your horse in a stall, costs much more than keeping your horse in a pasture would cost. It really depends on where you settle down though, and the quality of the barn you are choosing.

  2. in cali it's bout 100-350

    in arkansas it is 200-400

  3. Bonjour!

I actually live in Canada, but I think I can help you out. It totally depends on what state you go to. For example, Texas, which is a very livestock oriented state, would have cheaper rates than that of New York, which is very urban.

As for what is included, it depends on the individual barn. Most barns offer either paddock boarding (where your horse doesn't get a stall, it stays outside 24/7) or barn boarding (where your horse gets a stall and it goes outside for exercise). Paddock boarding is generally cheaper than barn boarding. For lessons, you usually pay per month or per lesson, and barns usually have discounted rates for people that are riding their own horses.

Boarding is generally $150-$600 per month, depending on where you decide to board your horse.

    Good luck!

  4. in MA, just north of Boston..

    $750 a month.

daily stall cleaning and 2 hours turnout min.

    -group or individual turnout.

5 flakes of hay in summer, 7 in winter

as much grain as needed (to a point i guess, but its never been an issue)

hay 4 times in stall, and once in turnout, up to 4 grain meals a day.

putting on boots/blankets for turnout, switching blankets on days you cant come.

use of 3 out door rings (jumping, dressage, and lesson), 2 fields and indoor.

trainer calls the farrier and sets up appointments, also hold horses if needed.. worming schedule set and reminders when its time (or she'll do it for you for a price)

  5. Buongiorno! At Texas it's $500 for bording a horse. Hope you like America!

  6. Move to alabama theres a really nice stable called Green Branch Farm I go there. They dont have a web site. But you can google it. They do lessons and they bord. Theres a feld and a stable. That you can have them stay in. Good luck. Oh yeah its in Fairhope Alabama.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I live in South Dakota and I personally DON'T board horses, but I know a lot of people who do...

The price depends, there is a JUST pasture board that is 70 bucks a month, and nothing is included with that.

The barn my trainer keeps her horse at is a very large barn that has 3 main stables. The first is smaller and 200 a month with 1 clean out a day and 1 turn out a day as well as 1 feeding (at night).

Then you have the 350-450 barn which has a small indoor attached, 2 day cleaning, 2 day feeding, and turnout.

Then you have the 550 a month barn which has a large indoor attached, 2/3 day cleaning, 3 day feeding, etc.

Each barn usually provides their own feed and you usually get enough to feed your horse with it, depending upon how much you pay. The two more expensive barns you can provide your own feed and they will feed your horse for you, suppliments included.

However, my trainer is in Nebraska and there isn't classes involved in that that I know of (they bring in trainers from Germany, though, and she'll train with them). She's a higher leveled rider Grand prix, so she does a lot of instructing herself, but like every good rider, she gets trained as well :).

    Good luck.

Edit: MOVE NEAR SD AND JOIN OUR DRESSAGE CLUB! lol. Move into south dakota, somewhere around the Sioux falls area would provide you with a pretty good area, and we have some decent dressage shows. :) I suppose you're probably not dressage, this is a big western community but we're finally getting some dressage here. XD. Good luck, welcome to the US

  8. move to michigan

    its awsome

and about 500-1000 a month for boarding

lessons are around 30-70 bucks per hour

  9. Hi I live in california and I pay 325 a month. It includes a private stall, and daily turnout, full acess to an arena, wash racks, tack area, and 15 miles of trail and access to the creek. There are just pastures that are only 200 dollars a month , but my horse is an appy so he has too sensitive eyes to be out all the time :D

EDIT: in Cali, you cant find a horse board place for 100 dollars. that is what someone said below me.... the price range is probably anywhere from 200 to 1000 and above.

  10. MOST PLACES IN MASSACHUSETTS OFFER:

Full Board includes all-day turnout, blanket changes, hay five times daily, grain up to three times daily, and administration of supplements and medications as needed. There are no extra charges for little things like catching your horse for the vet or farrier, or putting on boots for turnout.

    $700/Month

Daily Strongid worming is available, and includes twice-yearly paste worming.

    $15/Month

Farm Trailers and tow vehicles may be used for shows, day-trips, etc.

    $25/trip

Trailer Storage is offered for those who don't have space at home.

    $15/Month

  11. When I boarded South Dakota, I lived in the Rapid City area at the time...in Black Hawk, it cost me $225 for my gelding and $250 for my hubby's stud. That included 2 feedings a day of hay, a 10x12 stall(think), stall cleaned once a day and a pen outside the stall so they could go in and out as they pleased(except in bad weather they closed the doors and kept them in) They also would feed any extra feed you wanted your horse to have at no extra cost, you just have to provided the feed. It also included the use of 2 indoor arena's and 2 outdoor arenas and plenty of places to ride. She also had pasture boarding, I did that until a stall opened up...think that cost $175 and the only thing that was different was the stall. A farrier and a horse dentist came there too and you just had to put your name on the list and leave a check with the lady for the amount and she made sure it got done...I always made sure I was there though as I don't like people handling my horses for things like that unless I'm there.

If, by some freak of nature, you actually move to that area, let me know...I'll get the number of the place for you. The lady is really nice and her barns are exceptional. And everyone was nice there.

Mulereiner, you might now her....her name is Josie..can't remember her last name though...will have to get my old blackberry out...of one of those boxes I haven't unpacked yet...lol =)

  12. I live in Connecticut. I go to a great barn that charges $450 a month with all day turnout, hay, grain, blanketing, outdoor arena, and tons of trails!

  13. This is really a broad question, it would be more helpful if you would limit your question to more rural or city living and what areas of the usa you are considering.

I live in Wyoming, and here I pay $75/first animal and $35/any other animal.  Its a monthly board for a paddock and all my guys stay together.

Its no care, I do it all and buy all the feed and hay is $135-150/ton right now.

In South Dakota at another barn, full care was $350/mth..

  14. Welcome to the USA! (in advance). I am in Illinois...anywhere from $250.00 a month for bare bones care, to $1000.00 a month or better for top notch with training, and lots of variations in between, depending on what you want provided.
