check out any free festivals your town may  be hosting, even towns with a pop of 1000 have at least one free festival every summer.  get a new hobby, like geocaching.  start making your own jewelry.  go to your local fabric store, they should have a lot of beads and also go to thrift stores and get old costume jewelry and take it apart to make some new jewelry.  you can also make friendship bracelets with thread for all your friends for when school starts up again. if you are over 12 and responsible enough let neighbors know you are interested in babysitting.

you should write a book, that sure makes the time fly by and it is really fun. If you need any inspirational ideas you can always look up a random logline genorator and see what pops up, hehe.
