Question:

Boric acid?

I have heard that boric acid is a good remedy for killing yeast infections for women whose infection did not respond to antibiotics prescribed by doctor. I am not pregnant, so I wouldn't be hurting a baby. I am aware of the dangers, but i have had this for almost a year. Did it work for anyone?

  1. Yes, but it is not straight boric acid.  It is a boric acid suppository that the pharmacist compounds, so you have to have a doctor's prescription.  If worked very well for me, better than Diflucan ever did.  The doctor told me to take one suppository nightly for four days and it was helping me by the second day.  And, if you have been having the symptoms for almost a year your could have very low acidophilus levels, which help prevent yeast growth, or if you have had s*x, your partner could be transferring it back and forth to you, without even having any symptoms.  I suggest you see your physician if you are considering this.  Hope this helps!

  2. eat lots of garlic and pau d'arco tea. The stuff tastes nasty but it works. I never tried boric acid, it sounds too harsh.

  3. Boric Acid is used to kill roaches& keeping ants away  there is a better way to rid yeast infections.... but first ask your self "am I taking any drugs like cortico steroids, anti ulcer drugs, birth control pills, sugar in my diet ,any cortisone drugs for more than 2 weeks.... all these  will cause a yeast  infection   chang your diet no sugar
