Boring race?

Did anyone think the All-Star race was boring?

Not even any cautions other than in between segments, and no beating and banging that I seen. All in all was pretty boring to me. I thought it was kinda cool that Kasey Kahne won coming from the back...but all in all it wasn't that exciting to me. Wish Kyle's engine wouldn't have messed up I bet he could have made it exciting...likewise for Hamlin.

What did you guys think of the race?

This was for the big money, and they were playing it cool and right for a change...each driver wanted the million dollar pay off, Kasey got it, deserved it, it stopped his loosing streak, he has not won a race since Oct 2006, he said he did it slow and careful and it paid off.

it was a quiet race, but was a good race.....

Nascar is not all about, tearing up each others cars and trying to kill or hurt people.

that has to have been one of the more boring all-star races ever.  what are they going to show from it next year that will come near the busch brothers taking each other out last year?   the only way it could have been more boring is if my boy's car had not had mechanical failures, as he would probably would have just continued to walk away with it.

and i agree, no bumpin', no bangin', no rubbin', and hardly any exciting racin'.  and no arkansas, real fans don't go into a race hoping to see "the big one" happen, but at least some three wide racing here and there would have been nice.

but let's give kudos where kudos are due - great pit call by the #9 team and great driving by kasey kahne.  the fans spoke, and he answered, giving them what they wanted - a win. congrats!!!

iggy, if you are the prototype for what a "good" nascar fan should be, then i need to find a new term for what i am.  if i want to watch slow and steady passes that take laps to make, i'll watch indycars.  and it wasn't boring because NO ONE could pass - plenty of people made passes.  but the field got so spread out and was pretty much single file most of the night - reminiscent of the first 400 miles at talladega last year. there was far more side-by-side racing in the showdown race, and even that wasn't ALL that exciting either.

After a long week of work. Nothing entertains me more than letting the NASCAR drivers put on a display of adrenalin pumping performances. And I just get to sit there and kick back! It's like a wayside rest to heaven.

It depends on you,the fan.If you like only wrecks then you probably thought it was boring.If you are a Kasey Khane fan,you were probably jumping up and down when he won.Personally,I thought the showdown was better.I thought the all-star race was an average race.Not boring but not great either.Kasey going form last to first was great though.

Too bad Dale Jarrett didn't win in his last race, I wanted him to win even though I am a Jeff Gordon fan.He was just in the back and was barely mentioned.

By the way,what about 2 former open-wheel stars being in the all-star.AJ Allemendinger(champcar) and Sam Hornish Jr.(I.R.L.).Sam went 3 laps down after brushing the wall and having to repair his car,then ended up finishing 7th.Maybe Sam might get his 1st win at the Coca-Cola 600 next week.Aj didn't finish well though.

WHAT??? Boring that was the a GREAT race. Kasey Kahne coming from the back to win. I was kinda happy to see Busch have problems. I'm sick of him. But that was an amazing race.

i used to go to that race and lots of others but i think i'm about done with racing..hate the new cars..sure they are safer, but the races are getting boring more all the time..went to bristol last august and i thought it was one of the worst i'd ever seen..don't want to see anybody get hurt but we all like to see crashes once in awhile to make it interesting

I hate to see Denny and Kyle to blow up like that, but I can't help but be ecstatic because Kasey won. I was watching Kasey move up the field the entire race, so it wasn't extremely boring in my books.

Well, im a kahne fan, so i watched him slowly move up throught the field and that made the race exciting. If you a kyle bush fan, then it was probably boring because your driver was checked out for so long. In the end it depended on you POV, if you driver was moving up, it was a good race.

I don't think it was a boring race. I think it was a boring race compared to past All Star races.  I can't really pinpoint why it was boring for me, but, I don't know, it just lacked a certain spark that other All Star races had.  Maybe it was that they didn't invert the field or whatever.  Some of it was exciting. I liked seeing A.J. and Hornish do well, just because I like to see more drivers being competitive. I also love that KK won.  I'm not really a fan of KK, though I don't dislike him. He's just not one of the drivers that I'm into.  But I absolute loved seeing him win it.  I thought it was great for the fan vote driver to go out and win the thing, especially on a gutsy move made from atop the pit box.  Not to take anything away from Kasey's performance.  I think he drove his heart out last night. Congrats to the #9 team!

It was a quiet race, but it was a good one. You should have heard Elliot Sadler's scanner during the race on track pass....lmao. Let's just say he was not happy. Neither was Reed Sorenson. After Sadler wrecked, I switched it over to his. He was pretty vocal as well.....lol.

Amen, Kevin S. Jimmie Johnson came from the back to the front as well. HE had a good race, until the end, then the car started running loose. But he passed people, lots of 'em.

To those of you that say the COT makes it impossible to pass, Kahne and Smoke started at the back and were passing all the way through the field.  Hornish may have pass more people than anybody.  

You say no passing, I say take your blinders off and start watching the races.

for me it was  very boring, they should have left well enough alone and kept it as in the past with the invert of the field...these COT's are c**p...why is Nascar always changing the rules..give the racing back to the drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not me, I wasn't bored at all.  But then my tastes are different from yours.  I don't like demolition derbies, and nothing bores me more than repeated long periods in which the cars slllooowwlly trundle around the track behind a pace car.  I could set up a lawn chair next to my local highway, on any weekday afternoon, and see both for free.

No, I just like racing, and this one wasn't bad.  It would have been better if one of my favorites had won, of course, or if it had come down to a dramatic side-by-side battle for the finish.  But that can't happen every week.

yes, it was. the COT has its ups and downs. This race was boring. But Congrats to the Kahne fans!!!! I'll have a Ice Cold Bud and salute him.

Worst all star race ever!..   when a guy that cant make it in from the open wins.. just tells you that it was only a madder of track position.  Jr was the first with for tires and come out 8th.. Khane come out 2nd...     gain  one spot on a slumping JJ and won..  biffle couldn't pass him even though was much faster..     BORING!..  Mental note don't watch the 600 next week... 600 miles of Bordom.
