http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163, is optimistic he will soon get back to goal scoring ways, following his slow start to life at Anfield.
The Italian International has only scored a single goal in his eight appearances for the Reds, since his 11 million pounds move from AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 this summer.
After netting the ball in his debut match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Gomel-c39117, the 21-year old has struggled to get into his stride, and has so far failed to emulate the success that he met at the Serie A.
During his brief stay at Roma, Borini fired 10 goals in just 26 games.
Earlier, he had worked under the supervision of Brendan Rodgers at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the reserve team, and also at Swansea City for a brief period.
Anyhow, despite making a troubled start to his Anfield career, the forward was confident that he would soon be able to turn the tables.
He insisted that his slow beginning at Merseyside was not a reflection of his true calibre, and cited his similar kind of start in the Serie A to prove his point.
“I am not finding things difficult as such. In fact, thinking back, last year I only scored the one goal in October. All my other goals in Serie A came after January,” he told the reporters.
“Perhaps now it's October again, it's the time to start scoring in the Premier League as well.”
The boss at Anfield, Rodgers, is looking to develop a certain playing style at Liverpool, highlighted by short passing and slick movement.
It is believed that Borini is finding it difficult to absorb this playing philosophy, and his presence in the starting-eleven owes much to the Ulsterman’s lack of options upfront.
Nonetheless, the striker dispelled the impression of him struggling to make adjustments in EPL. He claimed that he was perfectly aware of the demands and requirements of English football and it was only a matter of time before he hits the top gear.
“It's not a question of me finding it difficult to get used to playing at this level and in this league, because I've played here before,” he added.
