The boss at Anfield, Brendan Rodgers believes that the newly signed striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 could prove to be the missing link for the Reds upfront, and backed him to make an impression in his debut Premier League season.

Having already proven his mettle at the Serie A last season, where he went on to bag 10 scalps in just 26 games, the Northern Irishman insisted that the juvenile forward was a worthy addition to the Liverpool squad, and felt that he can form a potent partnership
with Luis Suarez upfront.
The Uruguayan International has returned to the squad, following his country’s elimination from the Olympic Games. He is expected to feature in the Reds second leg fixture against Gomel at Anfield on the 9th of August.
The former Swansea City boss told the reporters in an interview, “We have to remember he is just coming back from the European Championships and, once we get Luis back, he will give us greater penetration from the left and improve the team.”
Borini featured for the entire 90 minutes, during his debut game against the Belarusian side last week. However, despite putting up an impressive performance, he failed to get on the score sheet.
Viewing him as a valuable asset for the club, Rodgers revealed that he played the 21-year old for the complete game in order gauge his fitness, ahead of their league opener against West Bromwich Albion on the 18th of this month.
He also expressed his satisfaction over the player’s pre-season preparations, and backed him to get his new campaign off to a flying start.
“It was important for him to play the full 90 minutes. He will get goals… So, it was a satisfactory beginning for him and the most important thing was his fitness,” he added.
Liverpool will play one more friendly game against Leverkusen, before they visit the Hawthorns to take on the Baggies.
