Liverpool newcomer, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 has let out his aim of taking the central stage upfront, during his stay at Anfield.
The Italian International spent one complete season at AS Roma, before making a switch to the Merseyside club earlier in July. The striker was an instant hit in the Serie A, as he netted 10 goals in just 26 caps to help his side finish seventh in the final
league standings.
With the Reds manager, Brendan Rodgers looking to bolster his side’s attacking front, following their calamitous performance last season, the 21-year old divulged his ambition of spearheading his team’s attack in this coming term. He also vowed to continue
with his impressive form that he displayed at Roma.
While talking to reporters, he said: “I hope to bring goals to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. I want to bring goals and add value to the team. I want to be a big player here.”
The striker also revealed that he was the youngest player in the Yellow-Reds squad, and hence struggled to earn a name in the Serie A during his stay at Italy. He also felt that a young player can only get noticed in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 by producing some big performances,
unlike in the case of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
However, Borini mentioned that he was now prepared to take the central stage in the team, and was looking to secure a place in the starting eleven as soon as possible.
“I want to be a focal point of the team at some stage of my career. Maybe it could be now. I don't want to move every season, I want to stay in this team for many years,” he added.
Talking of his trademark ‘assassin’ celebration after scoring a goal, Borini explained that it was a stunt he used to perform with his team-mates during his stint at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. He further elaborated that his celebration intended on signifying a ‘warrior’ who
never gives up, and it was something which was adored by both, the Swansea City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 fans.
“I did it the first time I scored at Swansea and everyone liked it. It was the same at Roma.”
