Boris Batura will stay with Belarus Volleyball Federation – Volleyball news
The Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Belarus has announced that Boris Batura will stay with them for next four years.
The vital decision was taken out by the General Assembly of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation a couple of days before. The members of board and other top officials of the Federation gathered at a local hotel in Minsk, Belarus.
Batura was already working as the Speaker of the Council. He did an amazing job in running the operations of the Belarus Volleyball Federation. In acknowledgement to his brilliant work, the General Assembly unanimously came up with the decision to keep him
in the loop.
He has signed the agreement to chair the Belarus Volleyball Federation (BVF) for next four years. After accepting the influential role of President of BVF, Batura shared his thoughts with media and revealed the future plans. He said that there is a dire
need to work on national teams, in order to get international recognition. He also emphasised the role of media in giving extensive coverage to the sport of volleyball. Moreover, he talked about promotion and development of beach volleyball as well.
The General Assembly meeting of Belarus Volleyball Federation was attended by various other delegations. They were all given a detailed report containing all the necessary statistics of the previous years.
The General Assembly was greatly satisfied with the way things were carried out in the previous years. In the meantime, the election of Executive Committee was also held. Aleksandr Bagrintsev got lucky to be elected as the new Secretary General of the Volleyball
Federation of Republic of Belarus.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice President of Confederation European de Volleyball (CEV), Dr Jan Hronek. In the end, he delivered a speech and appreciated the efforts put by Belarus Volleyball Federation.
He stated: “As I am speaking also in name of our President, André Meyer, let me address a few warm words to all of you. The progresses made by the Belarusian Volleyball Federation in recent years are enormous, especially taking into consideration that the
final round of a CEV Junior European Championship was staged last year in this country for the first time, namely in Bobruisk and Mogilev. We were extremely pleased with the organization of this event and I am sure that Belarus can achieve even more in the
near future.”
