Anyone think he made a bit of a fool of himself?

He was the only man in view that hadn't done his suit up or brushed his hair. As a result it looked like the suit was two sizes too big for him. To make it worse, he spent most of his time slipping his hands in and out of his pockets on stage, and actually had them firmly inserted until the Beijing Mayor shook hands with him...now when I was at school schoolboys got shouted at for putting their hands in their pockets...for the representative of London to present himself like that in front of the world...had me rolling around in laughter!

(Please don;t take offense guys just my light-hearted penny's worth!

  1. As my dear old Mum used to say, the man looked like an unmade bed.

  2. He looks like an f'n mess. Isn't he the guy who offend blacks from former British colonies in the Caribbean?

  3. Just be glad he didn't choose to come in the stadium with his bike and shorts.  That will hurt the audience!!

He just being himself.. always a bit messy like that!

  4. That guy is an idiot. I dread to think how he will handle this.

  5. I think only us noticed the hands in pockets thing, because we're a bit self-conscious after China put on arguably one of the best shows the world has ever seen.

I asked my friends from around the world, and honestly, they didn't think Boris was doing that bad.

  6. He is a buffoon. He was representing Britain at an event being watched by billions worldwide and came across as a crass insensitive lout. I just don't think he realises (or worse, he doesn't care) that when you are a guest somewhere, basic courtesy dictates that you take the trouble to prepare for the event; it's not a question of rules, it's not a question of whether you like or dislike China, it is just basic politeness. Being the village idiot may go down well with the London voters, but on the international stage he just isn't up to standard.

  7. leave the guy alone, there arent any rules on how you have to present yourself. he always looks like that atleast he doesnt change his appearance or let the way he looks affect him, you dont have to button up your suit or present yourself in a way to be a good mayor im sure he knows alot more than you and you have no right to criticise him for his image.

if anything he has a bit of style and is more down to earth dont you get bored of those prats in suits who think they are better than everyone else.

  8. Couldn't agree more - the look was not casual - just sloppy.  Britain's entertainment segment at the closing ceremonies was well off the mark, too.  While the unfolding bus concept was great, the (modified) lyrics of the Led Zeppelin song were still raunchy - how was that song selection supposed to capture the spirit of the olympics?  What was next - a wardrobe malfunction?  Big miss by the Brits.
