Born Free wins Grade A1 420m race at Peterborough
Born Free, a favourite runner with starting price of 5 to 4, elegantly sealed first position with a margin of one length in a Grade A1 race of 420m category at Peterborough on January 18. The fawn b***h ran against Garlyn Story, Tullymurry Pop, Moss
Row Odey and Grogeen Robin.
At 22:15, Born Free broke from trap 5. In the beginning, she was not sharp enough, but after reaching middle of the track, she ran with smooth and slow pace. It was a heart rending moment for the bettors.
However, the b***h suddenly gained the lead, and increased her speed abruptly, but Garlyn Story and Tullymurry Pop started chasing her confidently, which made the race all the more exciting.
However, Born Free kept herself free of pressure and focused on perpetuating her momentum. The diligence paid off, and she reached the finish line first. The daughter of Tahiti Pearl consumed 25.58 seconds to complete the distance.
Whelped in June 2009, the brilliant b***h started her career on December 3, 2010. It was her second top spot in a row.
The trainee of P J Dolby impressed all with her outstanding performance last night. She lived up to the bookmakers’ and her trainer’s expectation, with this triumph, and she is likely to draw huge bankroll in the upcoming events.
The second position went to Garlyn Story. Breaking from trap 1, the blue and brindle dog reached the finish line in 25.66 seconds.
He was trailed by 1 length. The son of Killahan Phanter ran for the fifth time since his debut on November 26, 2011.
With a slight difference of 0.1 second, Tullymurry Pop finished third in the race. After breaking from trap 2, the black b***h bridged the distance in 25.67 seconds. Whelped in September 2009, the daughter of Toberadora Rose is trained by R C Creckendon.
