  1. Dude, I don't know how it works in the States but here in Europe you stay with your first team for life. Nobody will listen to a word you say on sport if you do swap over. Can you suddenly want the Yanks to lose? No way, can't be done. Never!

  2. Home is where the heart is. I will be moving from Upstate NY to NJ in the coming months, but I will remain faithfully a Buffalo Bills fan as opposed to a Giants or Jets fan. Just can't do it. My heart would never be in it.

  3. NO, you can like any team.

Yankees are better YOU ARE A TRADER~

  4. I'm a Yankee Fan in California and that does not stop me from rooting for the Yankees and it never will

  5. No. Most town in america basically ALL of them that don't have  team would then by your logic not have a favorite. Though I do admit most seem to be regionally based. Still you can find Angels fans in NY and Yankee fans in California. To each his own.

  6. home is where the heart is. my friend lived in ny and moved to boston and he still loves the yankees.

  7. No matter where I lived I would cheer for the Indians and the Browns. I have too much stuff and it would cost too much to start over...

  8. YANKEES!

  9. Whatever floots your boat,My job moved me out to seattle 10 yrs ago and i never became a Marnier or seahawk fan.Are you kidding me? I'm back in ny now but no matter where i live i'll always root for my yanks.

  10. I agree.  I grew up in upstate NY and loved the Yankees -  Munson, Nettles, Reggie and Lou.  Then I moved to San Diego and had a real hard time getting any news about them (pre-internet) so I became a Padres & Chargers fan.  10 years ago I moved to the Tampa area and became a Devil Rays and Bucs fan.

I think you should adopt your adopted cities teams right along with everything else.  Although I do keep a place in my heart for my former teams.  I just don't get as crazy about them as I once did.

Now it is much easier to remain a fan of your team because of the internet.

  11. THE YANKEES. what are you kidding. the red sox suck. dont go with them

  12. You should stay with the team you started liking when you were old enough to develop interest in a team. More than likely it was your home team at the time. If you move, it doesn't matter, you stick with that team for life.

That is the test of a TRUE fan.

  13. My sister grew upin St. Louis and like the rest of the family she was a Cardinal fan.  She moved to New York and after a few years became a Mets fan.  But still kept her loyalty to the Cardinals.  She would never go to a Mets/Cardinals game because she did not know who to root for.  She is now back in St. Louis.  On the last day of the regul;ar season last year at a family gathering she said we have to hope the Mets win today.  The whole family let her know she is now back in Cardinal Nation and Cardinal fans do not like the Mets and we were all hoping for the Mets to lose which they did.   After being a Cardinal fan all my life if I moved somewhere else I would always remain a Cardinal fan and would never change my loyalty from the "Birds on the Bat"
