Born on Army base in Germany, how do I order/find my birth certificate?

My neice was born on an Army base in Germany. We need help finding out how to order her birth certifcate either online or over the phone. If anyone has info please please respond! Its urgent!!!

  1. Overseas births are registered with either the nearest Consular or Embassy.

    The link will take you to a State Dept. page.

    It's the government so be patient.  


  2. Find out who your US Senator or Representative is, call their office, the one closest to you, and get them to work for you. That what they get pay for.  

  3. i know my recruiter called the base i was born on and they got my birth certificate verified.  call the hospital she was born at and ask them if they still have it on record

  4. You have to send a letter, with a check or money order in the amount of $30 payable to "U.S. Treasury", to the below address. Include the name of the person, the names of the birth parents, the date of birth and place of birth. It can't be done over the phone or by way of the internet:

    Your niece's birth was registered at the nearest U.S. Consulate or Embassy at the time of her birth. That's why the State Department issues the official birth certificate and the address I gave you is the archival repository for those certificates.
