Borna Gem and Rushmoor Grace to fight over the exclusivity in the Greyhound & Pet World Puppy Oaks 525 Semi-Final
The Greyhound & Pet World Puppy Oaks 525 Semi-Final has brought together six talented puppies for the 525 yards flat challenge on Friday, 27th July at Harold’s Cross. Borna Gem and Rushmoor Grace have put up some recent success stories on their profiles which have enhanced their chances for success today.
The short journey for Crash’s daughter had far more experience than what Rushmoor Grace got to face. Her home track remains to be the Shelbourne Park even though she raced last at the Harold’s Cross. Getting too much to learn and implement, the two-year-old struck hat-trick twice during the career.
The beginning of the career did not turn out to be as pleasant and successful as the latter. The first three races saw the under charge of R. Dwan struggling to post a win but luckily she did not have to wait for long and made the most out of the chance on 12th April, 2012.
Retaining and maintaining the form seemed to be an issue with the two-year-old out of, Borna Magic, as the two races after the debut success, were a fourth and then a second position.
Borna Gem has never raced over a distance other than 525 yards and has flourished over it most of the times. She adjusted even with the change of venue.
She won the fifth heat of the Greyhound & Pet World Puppy Oaks 525 Round 1 on 20th July, 2012 at Harold’s Cross. It took the favourite entry 29.00 seconds to conclude the race. Getting challenged and then leading from the third spot made her win by the margin of a length.
Striking success and hat-trick did not take this much hard work from the two-year-old black and white daughter out of, Express Tune, as much Borna Gem had to put in.
O’Callaghan’s trainee took up the challenge of the first three career outings bravely and lined them up as a hat-trick. She stumbled on the rankings on her fourth career outing that was at Harold’s Cross. She ended third in her track debut and today it is being expected that she will make the most of what she has learned from the past failure and incorporate it in her performance tonight.
