Borna Gem hot favourite for Sporting Press Irish Oaks Round 3 Heat 1 at Shelbourne Park
Borna Gem is in sublime form these days and has the best chance of seizing the top place in the opening heat of Sporting Press Irish Oaks’ third round, taking place at Shelbourne Park on Saturday, June 9th.
At the start of this month, the black b***h completed her hat-trick in great fashion. The 525 yards contest saw her displaying a wonderful act all the way through and a tremendous effort helped Crash’s daughter secure the top spot by half a dozen lengths.
After three consecutive triumphs, Borna Gem is in great shape at the moment and there is no reason why she should not outpace her rivals tonight. Among her opponents are: Tyrur Monica, Ilikeyou, Millbank Lola, Exciting Poppet and Oran Rossi.
Tyrur Monica has been running well over the past few weeks. After sealing an emphatic win in late May, the white and black b***h continued her good run to ensure the second place in the beginning of this month. But since she is not one of the consistent
runners around, we are reluctant to recommend her for the top place.
On the other hand, Ilikeyou is an interesting candidate. The black b***h will start the proceedings from the red box. Prior to her second last time around, the daughter of Royal Impact clinched two consecutive victories, impressing everyone with her speed
and stamina.
Millbank Lola will have to put her best foot forward in order fancy some chances. The black b***h was unlucky to miss the gold medal by a neck’s distance. Despite a fine effort last time, she does not look to be in good position to notch up the first place.
Exciting Poppet does not have bright chances against this line-up, since she is in poor form these days. Similarly, Oran Rossi would find it difficult to earn victory tonight.
According to our calculations, Ilikeyou is the biggest threat to Borna Gem. If the latter succeeds in outplaying her major opponent, it will be an easy victory for her. Meanwhile, the spectators will have a lot of thrill and entertainment. We wish the best
of luck to everyone.
