Borrow my truck to someone not returning it they are hiding it

i have a bank note on atruck iam letting someone else make payments on it . they have been late got tickets on my plates .no insurance kept up now they are hiding it and wont return it peacefully what can i do

You have a problem. If they're "making the payments," what you really mean is you sold it to them. You may have (1) criminally defrauded the bank by transferring secured property to someone else, (2) criminally sold a car without providing the buyer a title, and (3) failed to see that there is insurance, which you agreed to do when you got the loan.

Do not be surprised if the police will not take a stolen vehicle report, which would cause the other guy to go to jail if found driving the car. He may not be making the payments, but he didn't steal it. You gave it to him. This is different from you loaning someone your car. You have a money deal with him, and that may well make it a civil problem between the two of you, unlike your problem with the bank, which may be criminal - for you. You have a mess. Try the police. Even if they won't enter it as stolen or arrest you friend, they might try to scare him into releasing it.

report it stolen (it is); and never EVER do this again...I understand times get tough and you were probably helping out a bf/gf...but honestly- it may never show up- and you are left with the payments

Between you and the financial institution, you need to file a police report for "Hindering Secured Creditor".

You don't EVER do that again. Not a bright thing to do.

Call the police and tell them its stolen, you'll get it back.

Cops can't do nothing for you this is a civil matter. Now if you want your truck back you will have to find it and either take it your self or contact the bank and tell them the location of the truck so they can send a repo man out to get the truck.
