The Palermo head coach has warned his players not to keep the 7-0 thrashing in mind while playing against Udinese, and reflected on Panucci’s arrival at the club.
The Rosanero were subject to a complete annihilation by the Friulani outfit, who recorded the biggest win of last year’s campaign at the Renzo Barbera.
Regardless of the margin of victory by Guidolin’s side last season, Mutti has stated that his team need not worry about last season and their focus should remain on the current campaign.
Despite his reiteration that the Aquile should go for the victory in the matchday 29 fixture of the Serie A, he was full of respect for Udinese’s achievements this season. He remarked:
“We know Udinese well, their position in the table is testament to their value. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306 is a crucial reference point, but they have various resources for us to worry about.”
Mutti mentioned that the team already has so many issues to deal with, and they do not need to pile on more to affect their morale. The Rosanero have not been in the best of forms of late and they would be
under immense pressure to come away from the match with a victory. They have only picked one point from a possible 12 points of late.
The former Atalanta manager mentioned that he had been working hard with his squad to find potential weaknesses and correcting them in the process. He went on to comment:
“In the last few days we worked on various options and tomorrow I will make my decisions.. We’ve got to play as a team and less as individuals.”
Reflecting on the arrival of Christian Panucci into the Palermo setup, the Italian commented:
“I already respected him as a player, so I think this can be an important introduction for the club... perhaps he could’ve started in a less demanding environment, as Palermo is a tough place to work in.”
Maurizio Zamparini, Palermo chief executive, called on the services of Panucci to bridge the gap between the management and the players. The President felt there was a division between the two and acted on
his instincts and hired the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 right-back.
