Borussia Dortmund ace Shinji Kagawa hoping to return to form – Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 has admitted to his below par performances thus far this season and is looking forward to return to form.
Kagawa, who had an outstanding debut season with the club, hasn’t lived up to the expectations this term for both club and country.
The youngster assured of getting his form back ahead of the upcoming league fixture against Werder Bremen on Friday. While he accepted that Dortmund are on an inconsistent run of form, he was adamant that the Borussians are still in the title hunt.
The Japanese international told that the reigning champions will gradually move up the table as the youngsters are charged up to justify their abilities and skills.
When asked about his club’s last season’s triumph, the 22-year-old added that it was not a fluke. The Black Yellows lost only five league games throughout the 2010/11 campaign which enabled them to brush aside the likes of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
Kagawa was inspirational last season but his journey in the Bundesliga was curtailed due to an injury while on international duty with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 national side. The midfielder broke his foot and only made a late return to action when the title was already
confirmed.
While talking to media personnel over his current form, the player enthused, "This is what I need for me to grow as a player and at this point just scoring one goal won't change anything. I know that not everything is easy. I think this is the most difficult
point in my football career but I will definitely get through it."
He concluded the talks by saying, "I'm suffering because I am not delivering results. It's easy to play with joy when everything is going well. It's a mental problem that I have at this moment. In order to be a better player this is what I have to go through.”
Kagawa landed at Signal Iduna Park in 2010 and has nine league goals under his belt so far from 25 appearances.
