Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed his side after the win against FC Nuremberg in the third round of the German Bundesliga. The tactician claimed that the players were rewarded for the hard work they had put in all
summer and remained hopeful that they are consistent with their good form.
Die Borussen downed Die Legende 2-0 at the Signal Iduna Park to climb to sixth place on the Bundesliga standings table with two wins from three matches played. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255 and Kevin Grosskreutz scored for the home side to
secure all three points.
Klopp was impressed with his side as they defeated the travelling Nuremberg side to secure victory. He claimed that the players showed great determination and character in the clash and won the match despite some very good defending
from the opposition.
He insisted that the team fully deserved the win and remained hopeful that Dortmund would carry on with the stellar performances throughout the campaign.
“Nurnberg defended very well and had the initiative for long stretches. We worked hard, and were more unpredictable in the second half. It was a deserved win,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
FC Nuremberg manager Dieter Hecking also had some words of appreciation for the home side as he stated that the hosts were brilliant and his side had very few chances. However, he admitted that he is satisfied with his team’s performance
as it was against the German champions and away from home.
“If you lose to the German champions 0-2, that is normal. Today, however, it was not normal. Compliments to my team, who played very well at the Signal-Iduna-Park,” Hecking added.
Borussia Dortmund face a tough test at the BayArena next week against last year’s runners up, Bayer Leverkusen. Robin Dutt’s side had a disastrous start to the season as they were knocked out of the German Cup in the first round
and suffered a defeat on the opening day of the league season at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166.
