Borussia Dortmund duo of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sven-Bender-c34386 is looking forward to the trip to France where Olympique Marseille await them. The two sides will lock horns on Wednesday, September 28, at Stade Velodrome in what promises to be a crunch Champions
League tie.
Both Schmelzer and Bender are looking forward to take on the French outfit after returning from their respective injuries. Bender last played against Arsenal in the club’s opening Champions League tie before being ruled out due to a hip injury.
Schmelzer fell victim to the same injury a few days later, in the league game against Hannover.
Both players made their way back to training while preparing for Marseille game and won themselves a trip to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. The duo is not guaranteed a place in the starting XI but Jurgen Klopp is expected to give them a chance during the second half.
The manager, Klopp, has confirmed about the players’ fitness and is confident going into Wednesday’s game. He also predicted a knock-out stage berth for his side despite having drawn their opening game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
Marseille currently sit atop Group F with three points while Dortmund are third. The French outfit defeated Olympiacos in their opening game away from home. While the Borussians are currently struggling in Bundesliga, both players and the manager are confident
of upsetting Les Phoceens.
The players, while addressing the local press, further enthused, "I took part in training on Monday and I feel that I can be at full strength [for the game]. The muscular tear has healed completely."
Jurgen Klopp concluded his remarks by saying, "Marseille always play in so many different ways that it is hard to try and counter that with another system. They hit long balls and play direct."
The Black Yellows will return to league action on Saturday, October 1, with the game against FC Augsburg.
