Borussia Dortmund fan lodges formal complaint against Hoffenheim for misconduct
A Borussia Dortmund fan has compiled a formal complaint against Hoffenheim for their misconduct. The two sides locked heads on Saturday, August 13, and Dortmund lost by a 1-0 margin.
It was observed that someone from the Rhein-Neckar-Arena intentionally placed the speakers near the Dortmund set of fans. As a result, the visiting fans kept getting irritated with shrill sounds coming out of the speaker. One fan has received physical damage,
according to reports.
The Black Yellows criticised the home side for using such an ugly technique to drown out their voice during the game. It was later revealed that some employee at the ground committed the offense and has eventually been identified. The unnamed individual
accepted his mistake but has to bear the consequences.
Hoffenheim, on the club hand, are also expected to be heavily fined by the federation. The employee mentioned that he never knew about the consequences and it was nothing but just a joke for him.
He also apologised to Hoffenheim officials for bringing trouble their way. The matter has been handed over to the police who will start their investigation shortly.
While talking to a local website, one of the fans, Jens Volke, further added, "We will not lodge a complaint [together], but one of our fans has filed charges. He says he has probably suffered from tinnitus. The Heidelberg Police Department has launched
an investigation, as has the DFB (German FA). Right now we are running a preliminary investigation to clarify the exact facts. Then it will be decided whether legal proceedings will be initiated by the control committee,"
Borussia Dortmund travelled away to take on Hoffenheim on Saturday, having won their opening game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 on Friday, August 5. The Black Yellows were expected to continue their winning form but Sejad Salihovic’s strike in the ninth minute dashed
all their ambitions.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently seventh on the league table with three points and will next be in action against FC Nurnberg on Saturday, August 20.
