Borussia Dortmund keen on making a winning return after shock loss to Hannover – Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is disappointed after his team’s loss to Hannover on Sunday, September 18, at AWD-Arena. The Borussians lost the game by a 2-1 margin, courtesy goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 scored
the only goal for the visitors.
Klopp criticised his team’s defence for taking it too lightly in the closing stages, leading to third Dortmund defeat of the season. He added that his players seemed tired and Hannover took perfect advantage of the situation. The manager is confident of
making a comeback in the upcoming home game against Mainz.
Dortmund have been struggling this year with just two wins from six games. One of the two victories came on the opening day of the campaign against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485. Klopp has now urged his side to get their act together ahead of Saturday’s game. He accepted
Dortmund’s woes and therefore wants to get back to winning ways, keeping in mind Bayern Munich’s current run of form.
Klopp has claimed that he will provide a title challenge to the Bundesliga giants despite being eight points short of the current leaders after same number of games.
While talking to the local website, the manager added, "Before the second goal we went through two on one; then they came back, crossed and [Neven Subotić] slipped in the centre. At some point we stopped playing football. We just kicked the ball away too
often, so we had no counterattacking situations. We have only ourselves to blame.”
“For the moment, though, this remains a results crisis, not a problem of performance. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-Barrios-c22533, their most potent goal getter, yet to feature this season after a severe thigh injury, there is a lack of sharpness up front.”
The Borussians are next up against the O-Fives on Saturday, September 24, at Coface Arena before they take on Olympique Marseille in their next Champions League fixture on Wednesday, September 28.
