Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp disappointed with Hannover loss- Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his disappointment on his side’s loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 in the weekend’s fixture. He claimed that his side was unlucky throughout the match and rued missed opportunities to score.
Die Borussen lost 2-1 to Hannover 96 in their latest Bundesliga fixture at the AWD-Arena after conceding two goals in the last five minutes of the match to throw the one goal lead.
Dortmund currently sit in 11th place on the Bundesliga standings table with seven points. The Borussians have won only two of the six games played all season and are going through a rough patch as they have won only
one of the last five games in all competitions.
Jurgen Klopp claimed that his side was well prepared for the battle and started the game brilliantly but there were mistakes made which cost three points. He admitted that Dortmund did everything well except for the finishing touch.
“It was clear to see that the team had big plans, but in the end we're left empty handed and we only have ourselves to blame for it. The way we played wasn't bad, but the final result is. The loss really hurts us, but we can only
learn from this defeat,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to the club’s official website.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 manager insisted that his side played some terrific football and deserved to win but the players have themselves to blame as they conceded two late goals and were deprived of the three points. He admitted that
it has been a poor start to the current campaign and remained hopeful that everything would get right in the coming weeks.
“We outplayed them in every area if you look at the statistics, yet we failed to beat them,” the tactician concluded.
Borussia Dortmund will face FSV Mainz at the Co face Arena on Saturday, September 24, in their next Bundesliga fixture. Dortmund are currently eight points behind League leaders Bayern Munich, who have so far accumulated 15 points
in six games.
