Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp expects the team to bounce back- Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that he expects his team to bounce back from the weekend’s defeat to Hannover 96. He stated that the players should learn from their mistakes from the loss and make a good comeback in the upcoming matches.
Die Borussen have had a poor start to the season and suffered their third loss of the season against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 but conceded two late goals in the dying minutes to lose the match.
Dortmund are currently ranked a disappointing 11th on the Bundesliga table with seven points from the six games played and have already lost three times this season.
Klopp claimed that the players need to bounce back after the defeat and wants his side to make a stunning comeback. He admitted that they are themselves responsible for their sorry position in the league but vowed to be back in contention for honours.
“We've got to learn from this defeat. If we manage to do that we have every chance of benefiting in the short and long-run. We only have ourselves to blame for managing to lose the match. We've got to realise that we're not just playing football for our own pleasure, but to get results,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.de.
The former FSV Mainz manager insisted that conceding two late goals in that fashion and losing the match is not acceptable and admitted that some silly mistakes from the team and a lapse in concentration resulted in the loss.
He remained hopeful that the team will learn a lesson from the performance and is looking forward to the match against his former club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 this coming weekend.
“We gave the ball away far too frequently and we pumped the ball forward aimlessly far too often,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund will next face FSV Mainz in next week’s Bundesliga fixture to be played at the Coface Arena in Mainz.
