Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszcykowski has voiced his frustration on the limited first-team opportunities at the club. He claimed that he deserves a place in the starting eleven and does not want to spend the peak years
of his footballing career on the bench and playing reserve team football.
Dortmund are surely back to winning ways as they downed Werder Bremen 2-0 at the Weserstadion. The champions have now climbed the ladder and are currently sitting in third place in the standings table behind Bayern Munich and Borussia
Monchengladbach with five wins and three losses so far in the season.
Blaszczykowski claimed that he is not happy with his limited first team opportunities this season. The midfielder claimed that he deserves to be in the starting eleven at Borussia Dortmund and insisted that the frustration is growing
with every game.
The Poland international added that he is the captain of his national side and still has made only a handful of appearances from the bench which is disappointing. He claimed that he does not want to waste his peak footballing years
like this and wants to play his role in every game.
“Being a player on the substitutes' bench at club level is something I'm concerned about. I'm the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 captain and I'm not a first-team player at club level. I'm aware of my value. I don't want to spend the best years of my footballing
life sitting on the bench and playing reserve-team football,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Wisla Krakow player hinted that he could be on the move in the coming January transfer window. He claimed that he wants to play his part in every game and if that is not the case, he could be on his way out.
“My position is on the pitch. I'm clearly saying that I need to be playing in the first-team. Let us see if (a transfer) comes in the winter transfer window and if something happens then,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund will take on FC Koln at Signal Iduna Park in the next fixture.
