Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa has insisted that former teammate Nuri Sahin made the right decision by joining Spanish giants Real Madrid in this summer’s transfer window. He claimed that it was a professional decision
and the player’s performances for the Borussians in the title winning campaign last year should not be ignored.
Borussia Dortmund secured their seventh Bundesliga title in the last season and shocked many as they were the youngest side in the League. The club accumulated 75 points and won an impressive 23 matches out of the 34 played, losing
only five times in the league the entire season.
Shinji Kagawa had a brilliant maiden season in the German Bundesliga and inspired his side to an amazing start to the season. The player scored some crucial goals but missed almost the entire second-half of the campaign due to
a metatarsal injury he suffered in the AFC Asian Cup semi-final against South Korea.
The attacking midfielder defended Nuri Sahin’s decision to join Real Madrid and stated that it was a purely professional decision. He claimed that after the performances he put in the last season, it was obvious that a club like

Kagawa insisted that it is a great opportunity for the Turkish international to prove his worth at a bigger stage with Los Blancos and admitted that it is a new challenge for Sahin in his already impressive career so far.
“I can understand Nuri's decision, because every professional athlete is always looking for a new challenge,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Japanese international also shrugged off rumours of a possible exit this summer and added that he is happy with Dortmund and wants to focus on the new season to remain fit and continue performing.
“For me, I'm focused on working hard to get back into the Borussia Dortmund team. I've no time to waste thinking about other things,” he concluded.
Shinji Kagawa scored 12 goals in his maiden season for Die Borussen in 28 appearances and also played a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitalô-c40903 role in the national team’s Asian Cup triumph this year.
