The German champions expect that the Japanese midfielder will cost his suitors an estimated 20 million Euros.
Kagawa’s future has been under widespread speculation for the past few weeks after the player admitted that he will be leaving the German outfit in the summer. The midfielder is said to have already held talks with Manchester United
for a prospective move in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United have been in search of a central midfielder who can attack and are keen to acquire the Japanese player. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Carrick-c25282 has been a disappointment for the Red Devils last season as he lacks the creativity required
for a central midfield player.
Dortmund owner, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has insisted that the former Cerezo Osaka player will not be allowed to leave for an amount less than the 20 million Euro mark. He admitted that the player has immense quality and that the club
would not sell him at a derisory price.
The chief added that although Kagawa has one year left on his contract, he will not be sold at an amount less than the asking price. He claimed that Manuel Neuer joined Bayern for an estimated 22 million Euros from Schalke and
the goalkeeper also had one year left on his deal.
Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are the clubs linked with Kagawa at the moment and the tussle would surely benefit Dortmund eventually as the transfer price is likely to go up.
“We all know the abilities of Shinji, his youth and the value he adds to this side. I also note what Bayern Munich paid for goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 (22 million euros from Schalke last year). He also only had a year left on his
contract. Given those facts we can certainly expect a princely sum for him,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 made a total of 49 league appearances for Borussia Dortmund and bagged 21 goals in return in the two years he spent at the club. The midfielder won two consecutive Bundesliga titles and secured a DFB-Pokal in his
stint with the German champions.
