Borussia Dortmund sign Mustafa Amini from Central Coast Mariners- Bundesliga news
German champions Borussia Dortmund have signed Australian teenager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mustafa-Amini-c27104 for an undisclosed fee. The youngster will remain with the Australian side for another season and will join the Borussians before the 2011-12 campaign
starts.
Mustafa Amini is one of the most talented youngsters in Australia at the moment and his future had been under speculation for many weeks. The midfielder was wanted by Scottish giants Celtic also but Dortmund were able to secure
a transfer deal for the player as he wanted to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Australia-c746 for one more year.
The attacking midfielder thanked the club Chairman Peter Turnbull and manager Graham Arnold for working on the move and was delighted with the deal with the German giants. He insisted that Dortmund is a big club and they have a
great side which is why they have won last season’s Bundesliga title.
“I'd like to thank Peter Turnbull and Graham Arnold at the Mariners for working on this with Dortmund. I'm really excited to be joining Dortmund, they're a big club with amazing supporters,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Amini added that he is excited with the chance of playing in one of the best leagues in the world and admitted that it would be a great feeling playing in front of 80,000 supporters at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
But the midfielder added that he still has one more year with the Australian side and he wants to give his all for a successful campaign. The player also remained confident for a good Under-20 World Cup in Columbia this year and
wants to represent his country in the future.
“It would be amazing (to play at Dortmund's 80,000 seat Signal Iduna Park), but first of all I want to have another great season with the Mariners, as well as a good Under-20 World Cup in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colombia-c2873,” he concluded.
Mustafa Amini has so far made 23 appearances for Central Coast Mariners and has scored once, accumulating two assists. The player has also made Australia U-23 side and scored once in two games played.
