Fullback, Lukasz Piszczek, has been ruled out of action for five months following hip surgery and will not be available at the start of the new campaign.
Borussia Dortmund star defender, Piszczek, will miss the opening stages of the upcoming season because of a serious injury. The Polish player has faced hip injuries a number of times and as a result of that, underwent surgery which was planned before the
UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

The hip surgery means that the defender will not be able to play for the BVB for up to five months. The Black Yellows’ official website claimed that right-back has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right hip on Thursday. He is only 28 years old and the
surgery was done by Professor Dr. Dienst at the OCM Hospital in the capital.
“The reason for the procedure, which was performed by Prof. Dr. Dienst at the OCM Hospital in Munich, was damage to the cartilage of the joint and to the femoral head,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
