Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze insists he would consider a move in the summer- Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze has insisted that he will consider offers from clubs in the next summer transfer window. The youngster claimed that he cannot say anything about his future at the moment and his main aim
is to always play in the UEFA Champions League. However, he admitted that Dortmund is the best place he can be for further development and hailed manager Jurgen Klopp.
Mario Gotze has been brilliant this season for Die Borussen and his sensational performances in midfield has made him a regular in the national side also. The player has scored two times in the 11 games played for the club this
term.
Gotze claimed that it is still a lot of time left for the summer transfer window to arrive. He insisted that there are a lot of factors that can affect his decision of leaving which mainly includes the club’s top-four finish. However,
he wants to stay at the club which has made him a star and earned him a national call-up.
“Next year is a long way away. Who knows if we will finish fourth? Whether I will be injured? Whether things will go well? I've been planning to stay for a long time. Nowhere else do I have the feeling of being able to develop
myself as at BVB,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international stated that his main aim is to play in the UEFA Champions League and that is his main goal. He remained confident that the club will have another great season and will qualify for the Champions League and
he will stay.
“It is true that I designed a plan with my agent, Volker Struth. It stipulates that I will always play in the [Champions League]. That's my goal and that is important to me. But no-one can predict what will happen in the coming
months and years,” he concluded.
Mario Gotze has so far made 57 first-team appearances for Borussia Dortmund and scored 10 goals in the process. He also has 10 international caps to his name, scoring two times for Die Mannschaft.
