Borussia Dortmund’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mats-Hummels-c24767 disappointed with loss to Hoffenheim - Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has expressed disbelief at his team’s narrow loss at the hands of Hoffenheim. The two teams locked horns on Saturday, August 13, at Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
Dortmund went into the game fresh from a 3-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sejad-Salihovic-c32849’s strike in the ninth minute
proved decisive as the champions slumped to a 1-0 defeat.
Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp regarded his team unlucky, saying that the Borussians could have easily scored two or three goals. He was disappointed with his team’s lack of finishing as Dortmund missed a number of chances. The manager admitted the fact that
his side were off colour in the opening stages of the game which accounted for their loss in the end. Klopp claimed that the Borussians would make a winning return in the club’s next game.
The Black Yellows centre-back also expressed frustration at his team’s loss. He reckoned that his side could have avoided defeat by taking the chances created especially in the second half. Hummels, at the same time, praised Hoffenheim’s attacking display.
The defender urged his side not to lose heart and was confident about making a winning return in the game against FC Nurnberg on Saturday.
While talking to the club’s website, the 22-year-old added, "I think we were the better team and should have won the game. We were caught sleeping in the first couple of minutes. Hoffenheim were very aggressive. And then of course [Sejad] Salihovic scored
a real wonder goal. It happens from time to time in football. There is nothing you can do about it. In the first as well as the second half we had phases where we piled on a lot of pressure. At the end of the day it's about scoring goals though and unfortunately
we didn't score one today."
The reigning champions are currently seventh on the table while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 are topping the charts at the conclusion of the two game weeks
