Borussia Dortmund’s Sebastian Kehl determined to perform next season- Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Kehl-c32732 has insisted that he is determined to perform well next season. The midfielder claimed that he working hard to achieve full fitness and wants to earn his place back in the team.
The midfielder had an injury plagued season last term and managed only six league appearances in the club’s brilliant campaign which saw them become German champions after 2001-02. Dortmund had a sensational campaign as they lifted
the Bundesliga trophy, being the youngest team in the league.
Kehl admitted that things would not be easy for him considering the performances of many youngsters in the past few months. The presence of Mario Gotze, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 and Ilkay Gundogan in the midfield would surely make things
difficult for the veteran but he is prepared to earn his place back.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 player added that he has continuing training in the past few months and feels that he could be ready before the next campaign starts.
"Of course I still have some way to make up but I have also worked right through the holidays. Having our team training sessions on a daily basis helps me make up the ground I have lost,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international added that his priority is to be fit for the whole campaign in the upcoming season. He insisted that he will have to do a lot of hard work and be a bit more consistent if he has any chances of playing regularly
in the first team.
“The priority for me is to stay fit. We currently have a rigorous workload and our style of football requires a lot of strength. At the moment, I want to avoid making any predictions,” the player concluded.
Sebastian Kehl has made a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of 187 Bundesliga appearances in his nine years at the club and scored 16 goals in the process. The midfielder also has 31 international caps to his name and has found the net three times for his
country.
