Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa unsure about his fitness prior to the start of the 2011/12 season
Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa has sparked fears in the club’s camp after showing concerns over his fitness. The player was talking after his side’s DFB Pokal clash against a German third tier side Sandhausen on Saturday, July 30.
The Borussians won by a comfortable 3-0 margin. Kagawa managed to net his team’s second of the evening while he also provided an assist in the first goal scored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255.
The player was delighted to have featured in the game but believes that it would require some more time for him to regain full fitness. The Japanese managed to play for 85 minutes before getting substituted in the closing stages of the match. Kagawa told that he never considered himself fit to start the game against Sandhausen and was all praise for his coach Jurgen Klopp for entrusting him with the duties in the middle. In an interview to local channels, the midfielder enthused, “I feel that I am not fit yet because it was tough pre-season schedule including the tour to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. Even though I will have a game with the Japan national team, I have a week to rest myself before the league start.”
The 22-year-old joined Dortmund in 2010 and has eight goals under his belt so far from 18 league appearances. He has five international goals for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 from 22 games.
