Borussia Monchengladbach defender Dante signs three-year contract extension- Bundesliga news
Borussia Monchengladbach defender Dante has signed a new three-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2014. The club is delighted to keep one of its best players for the next campaign and will hope that they
improve on their performances in the upcoming term.
Dante’s future at the club was highly uncertain when the last season ended and the Brazilian was linked with a host of clubs across the continent including the likes of Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants showed interest in the defender when their pursuit for Jerome Boateng looked to end as a result of the high price tag but an agreement was eventually reached with City.

is surely in the plans for the long-term.
“We have always said that we did not want to let Dante leave. Dante is a driving force of our team and is someone both the players and the fans can identify with. We are of course pleased that Dante has now closed the door on any
potential transfer away from the club,” Eberl was quoted as saying in an interview to the club’s official website.
Dante confirmed the news and admitted that he will be staying at the club for three more years. He insisted that the performances should improve this time and the club should set a target of a successful season ahead.
“I am staying past this summer here at Borussia. I would like to, and will concentrate solely on my work and on the upcoming season. I would rather we did not have a season like last year and I will do everything to ensure that,”
he concluded.
