Borussia Monchengladbach manager Lucien Favre hails Marco Reus- Bundesliga news
Borussia Monchengladbach manager Lucien Favre has hailed striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 for his stunning performances this season and praised the player’s brilliant goal scoring ability. He admitted that Reus has become a very important player for the club and insisted that he is going nowhere despite rumours that Bayern Munich are after the German international.
The 22-year old has had a sensational start to the season and has already scored eight times in a total of 10 games played in all competitions so far. The player scored 12 times last season in 37 games and is surely heading towards improving that feat with a huge margin with the rate at which he is getting the goals.
Favre claimed that Reus is one of the best young talents in the league and his inclusion in the German national team squad means that he has the potential to go a long way. He added that the striker has immense potential and has the quality to become one of the very best but admitted that there is always room for improvement.
“Reus is definitely one of the best players I've ever trained. Everyone in Germany knows that Marco's a top player. He has unbelievable ability. He has enormous potential, but he still has a lot to learn, a lot to do. There are still lots of details that he needs to understand,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Meanwhile, former West http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international and Monchengladbach midfielder Gunter Netzer played down rumours that Reus is on his way to Bayern Munich in the upcoming winter transfer window. He stated that the striker is a very important part of the club now and the side has no intentions to negotiate a possible transfer.
“We've decided not to talk about that anymore. Marco is part of the team and everyone knows about his quality. End of story. Reus is still developing. He's better off at Gladbach,” Netzer concluded.
Borussia Monchengladbach will host Werder Bremen in the next Bundesliga fixture on Saturday, November 19. Both teams are level on points at third and fourth place and will be looking to diminish the gap at the top.
