The Foals will be looking to strengthen their claim for the third spot as they prepare to host this season’s relegation contenders.
Borussia Monchengladbach are currently third in the Bundesliga and will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend after the disappointing loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 last week. Freiburg, on the other hand, will be eyeing a place
outside the relegation zone. Both teams will lock horns on Saturday, March 10, at the Borussia-Park.
Borussia Monchengladbach
The Foals have had an incredible campaign until now and a win over Freiburg can take them up to the second place on the table. Gladbach were maintaining a hundred percent record since returning from the winter break before the
defeat at Nuremberg last week.
However, the Borussia-Park outfit could still qualify for the next season’s UEFA Champions League by finishing in the top four. This will be a huge achievement for Gladbach, who narrowly survived relegation last term.
Lucien Favre’s men have only lost once in all competitions since the mid-season break and it must not be a hard task for them to beat Freiburg at home.

Freiburg will be looking to capitalise on the sensational 2-1 win over Schalke last week. Christian Streich’s men have recently shown decent improvement in their home form but have been vulnerable away from home.
Out of their last five games, two have been away from home and Freiburg have lost both the games to Stuttgart and Wolfsburg respectively. This will be another stern test for the 17th placed side as Monchengladbach’s
home form has been terrific all season.
One encouraging factor for the visitors will be their recent form in the league. Streich’s men have been able to secure four points against the likes of Bayern Munich and Schalke in their last two encounters against the top four
sides.
Team News
Borussia Monchengladbach
Favre is expected to field a standard 4-4-2 formation. There are no major injury concerns for the manager ahead of the game and the manager is likely to field the same team which lost to Nuremberg last weekend. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mike-Hanke-c25699 and Igor
de Camargo lead the attack for the home side whereas http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juan-Arango-c19652 will offer support from the wings.
SC Freiburg
The visitors are likely to go in with a 4-2-3-1 formation. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Caligiuri-c9921 will their respective roles in midfield whereas Immanuel Hohn and Diagne
Fallou will start in the heart of defence.
Players to Watch
Gladbach will as usual be looking at the striking abilities of Marco Reus. The attacker has certainly been the best player this season for The Foals and will be desperate to add another goal to his tally in order to finish his
Foals career on a high.
On the other hand, Freiburg are desperately missing the services of Papiss Demba Cisse, who tied knots with Newcastle United during this season’s January transfer window. Freis will carry that extra burden of emulating Cisse’s
achievements after joining Freiburg from Koln this year. The striker already has a goal to his name from five appearances so far.
Prediction
Gladbach will prove to be tough opponents at home to Freiburg and are clear favourites to win by
4-1 margin considering their exquisite home form this season.
